On 24th and 25th October, 2014, the Centre for Computer-Assisted Research Mathematics and its Applications (CARMA), is hosting a two-day number theory workshop in Newcastle, which we are calling Number Theory Down Under.
The workshop will take place at Harbourview Function Centre. The Harbourview Function Centre is located on the Hunter River just a moment's walk away from downtown Newcastle and Nobbys Beach.
Talks on recent results and problems of interest are invited from researchers of all levels; the only restriction is that it should be on a currently relevant area which is considered number theory. Student participation is encouraged.
Details about registration, confirmed participants, accommodation, travel, and anything else needed can be found below.
If you have any questions, please email one of the organisers, Mumtaz Hussain at Mumtaz.Hussain@newcastle.edu.au or Timothy Trudgian at Timothy.Trudgian@anu.edu.au

Newcastle is easily accessible via train or driving from Sydney; a train leaves every hour from Central Station to Newcastle ending at Newcastle Station, which is less than 10 minutes' walk away from the conference venue. There are also direct flights available from Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
Newcastle Airport is a small domestic airport with frequent daily flights to Melbourne, Brisbane and a few other places. There is a local bus (Port Stephens Coaches) from the airport to Newcastle town centre ($4.60). A taxi from the airport to the city costs around $60.
